Customer case: Rolf Ericson’s New Truck Facility – From Planning to Completed Solution

Since 1952, Rolf Ericson has been providing sales and service for passenger cars and trucks in Dalarna, Sweden. Today, the company represents Volvo, Renault, Dacia and Lynk & Co. When Rolf Ericson built its new truck facility in Borlänge, Alentec & Orion was entrusted with designing and installing the workshop’s fluid management system, using solutions from Orion.

We interviewed the customer about the project, the collaboration and the key success factors behind the new facility.

What challenges needed to be addressed?

One of the main challenges in the project was coordinating all fluid lines and compressed air. The pipework needed to be routed beneath the floor slab to create a truck workshop that was as open and user-friendly as possible. It was therefore important for Alentec & Orion to be involved at an early stage of the planning and design process to ensure the best possible solution alongside the other installations.

How did you experience the process – from consultation to installation and commissioning?

“It has been an easy process working with Alentec & Orion throughout the entire project. Project Manager Niclas has been very responsive and committed to helping us find the best solutions for our needs. The installation team has done an excellent job and also contributed ideas during the installation process.

We have not yet put our new facility into operation, but we feel that, together with Alentec & Orion, we have built a facility that will help us work efficiently for many years to come.”
